Toddler Program

toddlers hugging

Here at Little Learners Child care Center we want your child to be as familiar with our school as they are with home. We designed our Toddler program specifically to help prepare them for our kindergarten readiness curriculum that they will receive in our Preschool program. Each program is designed to be a stepping block to the next one. This immersion allows our toddlers to become familiar with their surroundings. It makes the drop off process easier for parents because your child has adjusted to their surroundings.

Toddlers learn in a warm and nurturing environment

In order to create this environment our child care teachers plan a daily schedule with 4 things in mind:

  • Developmental stages
  • Need of the age group they serve and their abilities
  • Need of the specific individual children in their care
  • The personal experiences and history each child brings to the classroom.

Structure and routine are key

On a daily basis your child will engage in playful interactions with peers and trained child care teachers. They will participate in large group activities such as storytelling and music. There is also small group activities that explore the language arts, creative arts, drama, science, math, and cooking.

Toddlers are mobile and have a greater need to explore as they gain independence, than when in our Infant classroom. Our child care teachers support these needs by providing lots of opportunities for exploration and self sufficiency inside a safe environment.
